A little about us.
George and Steve are based in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. About thirty miles south of Guadalajara on beautiful Lake Chapala, Mexico’s largest lake. View images of Ajijic Here.
We started camping in the late 70’s with a VW Thing and a Coleman Tent.
Next, in 1982, we bought a used 26 foot Argosy travel trailer, and towed it behind a 1978 Chrysler LeBaron from coast to coast.
Following that, in 1988, we traded the Argosy for a 1967 Dodge Travco Motorhome, to try out the “motorhome” style of camping.
Lastly, in 2005, we upgraded to a 1975 Travco, and started traveling into Mexico. We fell in love with the people, the country, the customs, and just about everything about Mexico.
We wanted to retire to Mexico, but where? In 2010 we discovered Ajijic. We instantly fell in love with the area, and started looking at houses for sale on our third day here. We moved here that same year.
Earlier this year, (2013) we learned that we could get a 10 year permit for our motorhome, in addition to the permits for both cars, so we returned to Arkansas and brought the motorhome down to Mexico. We look forward to many new adventures here in Mexico, and hope to share those trips with you on this website. I have added some photos from the past that I felt might be interesting.
